Standing muscle testing, also known as the sway test, is a simple yet powerful technique to tap into your subconscious mind’s yes/no responses. Whether you’re curious about making decisions or seeking clarity on personal matters, this method can help you access your inner wisdom and your intuition. There are other forms of muscle testing but this is the quickest and easiest technique to learn.  The other techniques take a bit more practice.

Note the picture above is muscle testing with a partner, it works, but the standing muscle testing can be performed alone.  This is what I use with my clients with online muscle testing.

Preparation

  1. Find a Quiet Space: Pick a calm and quiet spot where you can stand comfortably without any distractions.
  2. Relax and Center Yourself: Take a few deep breaths, clear your mind, and set the intention to receive clear, honest answers.

Performing the Standing Muscle Test

  1. Stand Upright: Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and your arms relaxed by your sides. Make sure your weight is evenly distributed on both feet.
  2. Calibrate Your Responses: To understand how your body responds, start with some simple, factual questions:
    • Yes Response: Say, “Show me a yes.” Your body should naturally sway forward.
    • No Response: Say, “Show me a no.” Your body should naturally sway backward.
    • Alternatively:  Say, “my name is [insert your name] then for the No response say my name is [insert a false name]
  3. Ask a Yes/No Question: Once calibrated, ask a specific yes/no question. Keep your question clear and concise.
  4. Observe Your Body’s Response:
    • Yes Response: If your body sways forward, this indicates a “yes.”
    • No Response: If your body sways backward, this indicates a “no.”

Tips for Effective Standing Muscle Testing

  1. Stay Neutral: It’s crucial to remain neutral and not mentally influence the outcome. Trust your body’s natural response.
  2. Practice Regularly: Muscle testing accuracy improves with regular practice. Get familiar with the subtle movements of your body.
  3. Hydrate: Drink a glass of water to stay well-hydrated, as dehydration can affect the results.

Troubleshooting

  • Not much movement: I often find in the initial stages some people’s responses are very small and barely perceptible.  Then there are others who are practically falling over.  Don’t worry about this.  Keep practicing until you really know the difference.
  • Inconsistent Results: If your responses are inconsistent, take a break, re-center yourself, and try again.
  • Emotional State: Your emotional state can affect the results. Ensure you are calm and centered.
  • Recalibrate: If necessary, recalibrate by asking simple questions you know the answers to (e.g., “Is my name [Your Name]?”) to re-establish clear responses.
  • Blocks: If after awhile you still have issues then you may have a block.  There are a few reasons because of this.  I had a client who couldn’t muscle test as his ancestry didn’t want him to learn to muscle test.  We had to clear some energetic blocks to allow this to work.  An energy healer can help with clearing blocks that make it difficult to energy test.

Practice and Trust

  • Build Trust: The more you practice, the more you will trust the responses. Consistency and clarity improve over time.
  • Ask Clear Questions: Ensure your questions are specific and unambiguous.

Muscle testing is an amazing tool for tapping into your subconscious mind and gaining insights into your inner wisdom.  It is the tool I use most with the Sage Code and especially if my intuition is not as clear as it usually is.

With practice, you’ll enhance your ability to receive clear and accurate guidance from your body’s natural responses.
